Cloud Backup: Photo Storage

Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how you can delete your Cloud Backup: Photo Storage account and the data associated with your account.

Last Updated: September 4, 2026

1. Delete Your Account from the App

You can delete your Cloud Backup account and the data linked to it directly from inside the App.

  1. Open Cloud Backup and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Go to the Settings tab.
  3. Tap Delete account ("Erase your data").
  4. Read the confirmation message and then tap Delete account to confirm.

The App completes the deletion process. It removes your files from cloud storage, deletes your account, and clears your encryption keys from the device.

2. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the App, for example because you changed phones or uninstalled the App, you can request account deletion by email.

Send the request from the email address associated with your Cloud Backup account.

Use the email subject: Delete my account

We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and then process the deletion request.

We aim to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days.

3. What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following information is removed:

  • Your account and login information.
  • All backed-up photos.
  • All backed-up videos.
  • Documents and files stored in the cloud.
  • Audio files stored in the cloud.
  • Your contacts backup, if you used this feature.
  • Encryption keys stored on the device.
  • Stored account settings and entitlements.
Account deletion cannot be undone.

Once your account is deleted, your backups are permanently removed from active cloud storage and cannot be restored through the App.

Restore or export anything you want to keep before deleting your account.

4. What We May Keep

We do not keep your files as active user-accessible backup data after account deletion.

We may retain a minimal amount of information where required by law, such as records of a purchase for tax or legal purposes.

Short-lived copies of information may remain in infrastructure-provider backups for a limited period before they are fully purged where technically necessary for backup, security, disaster recovery, fraud prevention, or other legitimate operational purposes.

Information retained under these limited exceptions will be restricted to what is reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.

5. Privacy Information

For more information about how Cloud Backup: Photo Storage handles account information, encrypted backups, device information, analytics, advertising, third-party service providers, and other information, review the App's Privacy Policy.
