Phone Cleaner: Free Up Space

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how CELL CAVE (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Phone Cleaner: Free Up Space Android application.

Last Updated: October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CELL CAVE (SMC-PRIVATE) LIMITED ("CELL CAVE," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Phone Cleaner: Free Up Space Android application (package name: com.clearner.mobilecleaner.filemanager.cloud.savevideo.file.photo) (the "App").

CELL CAVE is the developer of the App and, where data-protection law uses these terms, the "controller" or "business" responsible for the personal information described in this Policy, except for information that Google or other providers process independently under their own terms.

By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. Where the law requires your consent, for example for personalized advertising in some regions, we ask for it separately and you may withdraw it at any time.

1. Summary

  • Your content stays on your device. Cleaning, file management, duplicate-photo detection, image compression, App Manager, notification cleaning, clipboard cleaning, the Recycle Bin, the Private Vault and the in-app assistant work locally. We do not upload your files, photos, videos, notifications, clipboard text, installed-app list, app usage history or Vault content to our servers, and we do not operate a server for user content.
  • No accounts. The App has no registration, login or user accounts.
  • Third-party services process some data. Google AdMob may process advertising-related information. Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Remote Config process analytics, diagnostics and configuration information. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) is used to deliver push notifications and messages. Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) / Google Consent Form is used to obtain and manage applicable privacy and advertising consent where required. Google ML Kit is used to provide machine-learning-based features within the App. Google Play processes subscription and purchase information, as described in Sections 9 to 12.
  • Data is protected in transit. Data transmitted by the App to the third-party services described in this Policy is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS where supported and implemented by those providers.
  • You have choices. You can revoke permissions, change advertising choices, delete your Android Advertising ID, clear App data, uninstall the App and contact us to exercise your privacy rights.

2. Features of the App

The App provides:

  • Quick Clean and Deep Clean of junk and cache files
  • Large Files finder
  • Duplicate, similar and screenshot photo detection
  • Image compression, where compressed copies are saved and originals are kept
  • File manager
  • App Manager for app sizes, last-used dates, unused apps and uninstall shortcuts
  • On-device permission audit
  • Notification Cleaner
  • Clipboard Cleaner
  • Phone Boost, CPU and battery information screens
  • Recycle Bin
  • PIN- and biometric-protected Private Vault
  • On-device "AI" analyzer and assistant that suggests cleaning actions
  • Scheduled automatic cleaning
  • Advertising
  • Push notifications
  • Optional Premium subscriptions that remove ads

The App's analyzer and assistant features use rules and calculations performed on your device. They do not send your files, photos, questions or device information to an artificial-intelligence service.

3. Information Processed Only on Your Device

Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, the App accesses and processes the following information locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to CELL CAVE or to the third-party services named in this Policy:

  • Photos, videos, audio, documents and other files, and their names, paths, sizes, types and dates
  • Duplicate-photo, similar-photo, screenshot and large-file analysis results
  • Compressed image copies you create
  • The list of installed apps, their package names, sizes, versions and requested permissions
  • App usage statistics, such as when an app was last used, if you grant Usage Access
  • Active notifications, including sending app, title, text and notification key, if you grant Notification Access
  • Clipboard content, when you use the Clipboard Cleaner
  • Device storage, memory (RAM), CPU, battery and operating-system information
  • App settings, language, theme, cleaning history, automatic-cleaning schedules and Recycle Bin records
  • Private Vault files, the Vault index, a salted hash of your Vault PIN and related Vault settings

Because this information is processed only on your device and is not transmitted off the device, CELL CAVE does not receive it.

4. Android Permissions and Special Access

Permissions are requested only for the features that need them. You can refuse any optional permission; the related feature will then be limited or unavailable.

You can review or revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings.

The App does not request location, contacts, SMS, call-log, camera, microphone or account permissions.

5. Files, Media, the Recycle Bin and Image Compression

File scanning, duplicate detection, compression and deletion happen on your device.

When supported, files removed through cleaning or file-management features are moved to the App's local Recycle Bin, where you can restore them for 7 days.

After 7 days, Recycle Bin items are permanently deleted.

Files that Android does not allow the App to move may be permanently deleted immediately after you confirm.

Compressed images are saved as new copies; originals are kept unless you delete them.

6. Installed Apps, Usage Access and the Permission Audit

The App reads your installed-app list and each app's requested permissions to show app sizes, provide uninstall shortcuts and run an on-device permission audit.

The permission audit is a heuristic that highlights apps requesting sensitive permissions; it is not a malware scanner.

If you grant Usage Access, the App reads local usage statistics to show when apps were last opened.

This information is processed only on your device and is never sold, shared, or used for analytics or advertising.

7. Notification Access and Clipboard Cleaner

If you enable Notification Access, the App reads active notifications, including sending app, title, text and notification key, so it can display and dismiss clearable notifications at your request.

Notification content is processed in device memory, is not stored as a notification history and is not transmitted off your device.

You can revoke Notification Access in Android Settings.

When you use the Clipboard Cleaner, the App checks and clears the Android clipboard on your device.

Clipboard content is not stored or transmitted by the App.

8. Private Vault and Biometric Authentication

The Private Vault copies files you select into app-private storage on your device and, with your confirmation through Android's system dialog, removes the originals.

Vault files are not uploaded to CELL CAVE or to any cloud service and are not included in the App's backup rules.

Your Vault PIN is stored as a salted hash, not as readable text.

If you use biometric unlocking, Android performs the verification and the App receives only a success or failure result; the App never receives or stores your fingerprint, face data or biometric template.

Important: Clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App permanently deletes Vault files stored on your device.

We cannot recover Vault files or reset a forgotten PIN because we have no copy of them. Keep separate backups of irreplaceable files.

9. Advertising

The free version of the App uses Google AdMob to provide advertising.

Depending on the device, region, applicable law and your choices, Google may process:

  • IP address, which may be used to estimate the general location of your device
  • User product interactions, such as app launches, taps and video views
  • Diagnostic information, such as app and SDK performance and crash information
  • Device and other identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID

Google may also receive technical information such as device model, operating-system and SDK versions, App name and version, network type, ad impressions, clicks, video interactions, consent or privacy signals and information used to detect advertising fraud.

Applicable information may be used to deliver and measure ads, perform attribution and analytics, prevent fraud and abuse and, where permitted by law and your choices, personalize advertising.

Production AdMob identifiers and advertising configuration are supplied through Firebase Remote Config.

Test identifiers that may be included in the App package are not used as the production advertising configuration.

The App's Android manifest also includes Android ad-services permissions that may be used by compatible Google advertising technologies on supported devices.

To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Mobile Ads SDK data disclosure .

11. Analytics, Diagnostics, Messaging and App Configuration (Firebase and Google)

11.1 Google Analytics for Firebase

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to improve its performance.

Only automatically collected Firebase Analytics events are intentionally used; we do not intentionally send custom Analytics events.

Firebase Analytics may automatically collect:

  • An app-instance identifier and the Android Advertising ID where available and permitted
  • Approximate location derived from a masked IP address, at country, region or city level
  • App opens, sessions, screen views and engagement
  • Device model, operating-system version, language and app version
  • In-app purchase events, including product ID, product name and price

We do not intentionally send your files, photos, notification content, clipboard content, installed-app list, app usage history or Vault content to Google Analytics, and we do not use Analytics to identify you by name.

Google Analytics retains applicable information according to the retention settings configured in our Firebase project and Google's applicable retention policies.

11.2 Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify, diagnose and fix crashes and technical errors and to improve App stability and performance.

Crashlytics may process crash logs, stack traces, App state at the time of a crash, device model, operating-system version, App version, installation identifiers and other diagnostic information.

We do not intentionally include files, photos, videos, notification content, clipboard content, installed-app information, usage history or Vault content in crash reports.

11.3 Firebase Remote Config

We use Firebase Remote Config to remotely manage App configuration, settings and features without requiring a new App update.

This includes supplying production advertising configuration.

To deliver configuration, Firebase may process an installation identifier and technical information such as country code, operating-system and platform version, time zone, language code, Firebase App ID and package name.

11.4 Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications and messages to users of the App.

FCM is operated by Google as part of Firebase.

Information processed in connection with the operation and delivery of FCM messages is handled under Google's applicable terms and privacy documentation.

We do not use FCM to upload your files, photos, videos, notification content from other apps, clipboard content, installed-app list, app usage history or Vault content.

You can disable App notifications at any time through Android Settings.

11.5 Google ML Kit

The App uses Google ML Kit to provide machine-learning-based features within the App.

This Policy does not attribute any additional category of data collection, storage or sharing to Google ML Kit beyond the information-processing practices expressly described elsewhere in this Policy.

Google's applicable terms and privacy documentation also apply to its services.

11.6 Firebase Installation Identifiers

Firebase services used by the App may automatically generate and process an identifier for a particular App installation as required to operate Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config.

CELL CAVE does not use Firebase Installations as a separate user-facing feature and does not use this identifier to identify you by name, email address or phone number.

The identifier and related information are handled according to Google's applicable retention and deletion practices.

Learn more at Firebase Privacy and Security and the Google Privacy Policy .

12. Premium Subscriptions and Payments

The App offers optional auto-renewing weekly and monthly Premium subscriptions, whose primary benefit is removing ads.

Current prices and any free-trial or introductory-offer terms are shown in the App and on Google Play before you subscribe.

All payments are processed by Google Play.

CELL CAVE never receives your card, bank or other payment-account details.

The App receives purchase information from Google Play, such as the product, purchase status, purchase token and renewal state, to activate, verify and restore Premium, and stores your Premium status on your device.

As described in Section 11.1, Google Analytics for Firebase may record purchase events.

You can cancel or manage subscriptions at any time in Google Play > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are governed by Google Play's terms and refund policies .

13. Notifications and Automatic Cleaning

If you turn on automatic cleaning, the App uses Android's background-work system to scan or remove eligible temporary files accessible to it, subject to Android platform restrictions, and to permanently delete expired Recycle Bin items after seven days.

The App may generate local notifications about automatic-cleaning results or storage reminders.

These local notifications are generated on your device and are not used for advertising.

Separately, the App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) as described in Section 11.4 to deliver push notifications and messages.

You can turn off automatic cleaning in the App and disable App notifications in Android Settings.

14. Android Backup and Device Transfer

If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may back up the App's preference files to your Google Account, and may copy them during a device-to-device transfer.

These preferences may include privacy-acceptance status and date, language, theme, automatic-cleaning settings and Vault settings, which can include the salted hash of your Vault PIN.

Premium entitlement data is excluded from cloud backup but may be copied during a direct device transfer.

Vault files, Recycle Bin files and other files are not included in the App's backup rules.

Backups are handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy , and you can manage them in your Android or Google Account settings.

16. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your files, photos, videos, notifications, clipboard content, installed-app list, app usage history or Vault content, and we do not transmit them off your device.

Information is shared only as follows:

  • Google (AdMob and Google UMP / Google Consent Form): identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics and applicable consent or privacy choices for advertising, measurement, consent management and fraud prevention
  • Google (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Cloud Messaging): analytics, diagnostic, installation, configuration and messaging-related information as described in Section 11
  • Google Play: purchase and subscription processing
  • Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, legal process or a valid government request, or where necessary to protect users, CELL CAVE or others from fraud, abuse, security threats or harm
  • Business transfers: if CELL CAVE is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information we hold may be transferred, and the recipient must honor this Policy or notify you of changes

Google ML Kit is used as described in Section 11.5. This Policy does not state that ML Kit causes any additional category of information to be shared beyond the practices otherwise described in this Policy.

17. Data Retention

18. Data Security

We use safeguards appropriate to the App, including processing content locally, storing Vault files in app-private storage, hashing the Vault PIN with a salt, relying on Android's biometric system and using third-party services that encrypt data in transit.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

19. Your Choices and Controls

  • Refuse or revoke photo, file, Usage, Notification and All files access in Android Settings
  • Review or change applicable advertising and privacy choices through the Google UMP / Google Consent Form privacy options presented in the App, where available in your region
  • Delete or reset your Android Advertising ID in device Settings
  • Turn off automatic cleaning and App notifications
  • Restore or permanently delete Recycle Bin and Vault items
  • Clear the App's data or uninstall the App, which deletes locally stored information, including Vault files, and stops future collection by the SDKs in the App
  • Contact us to request deletion of information held by us or to ask about information held by our providers

Because the App has no accounts, there is no account to delete.

We do not link Firebase or advertising identifiers to your name or email address, so we may not be able to locate provider-side records using only your contact details.

When you contact us, we will explain what we can do and help you use the controls Google provides.

20. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority.

How to make a request: email cellcave70@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy Request."

We may ask for information needed to verify your request. We will respond within 30 days, or within the period required by applicable law, and will explain if an extension is needed.

If we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider by replying to our response, and you may contact your local data-protection authority.

20.1 Additional Information for U.S. State Residents

In the past 12 months, the App has enabled the collection of the following categories of personal information through the services described above:

  • Identifiers: Advertising ID, App Set ID, app-instance and Firebase installation IDs, IP address
  • Internet or other electronic network activity: app and ad interactions, diagnostics
  • Approximate geolocation: derived from IP address, not precise location
  • Commercial information: subscription purchase events

If you email us, we also receive your email address and message.

We do not sell personal information for money.

However, allowing Google to use identifiers and ad interactions for personalized, cross-context behavioral advertising may be considered "selling" or "sharing" under some U.S. state laws.

You may opt out by using the App's privacy options where offered, by deleting your Android Advertising ID, or by emailing us.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

You may make requests yourself or through an authorized agent, subject to verification.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

The App does not collect sensitive personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

21. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 or older, is not directed to children and is not part of the Google Play Families program.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or from children under the age of digital consent in their country, up to 16 in some EEA countries, without the required consent.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App or by contacting us, email us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

22. International Data Transfers

CELL CAVE is based in Pakistan.

Google and its affiliates may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Google states that it relies on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for transfers.

See Google's data transfer frameworks .

23. Third-Party Services and Policies

The App includes the following third-party services, each of which operates under its own terms and privacy policy:

The App also uses open-source libraries, for example Android Jetpack, Kotlin, Coil and Lottie, that run on your device and do not collect personal information for us.

Links to third-party websites, including advertisers' sites, are governed by those sites' own policies.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy when the App, our service providers, the law or our practices change.

We will post the updated Policy at the same address, change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or on the App's Google Play listing before the change takes effect.
